Wilsberg is a highly successful, long-running ZDF-crimeseries set in Münster / Westphalia.
Main character Georg Wilsberg (Leonard Lansink) used to be a lawyer but is now a passionate book antiquarian. Since he is always short of cash, he also accepts assignments as a private detective. He often uses his best friend Ekki (Oliver Korittke) and his goddaughter and niece Alex (Ina Paule Klink) for his investigations – whether they like it or not. On top of that his often unorthodox ventures constantly get in the way of the police chief inspector Anna Springer (Rita Russek) and her somewhat over-ambituous colleague Overbeck (Roland Jankowsky). The show premiered on 20 February 1995. 25 years later, the Saturday night crimeseries has become a classic and is one of the most successful ZDF primetime-formats with around eight million viewers on average, often with exceptionally high numbers in the younger target group.
After Ina Paule Klink has announced her farewell, Patricia Meeden is now part of the ensemble. She plays the lawyer Dr. Tessa Tilker.
ZDF on Saturdays at 8.15 p.m., 4 episodes per year.
