The six-part, mind-numbing cop comedy celebrates cultivated boredom and is very entertaining in the process.
The biggest drug deal in German history is about to take place. So huge that the criminal history of the Federal Republic would have to be rewritten. Two police inspectors - played by Jürgen Vogel and Serkan Kaya - sense their chance to finally make a career. The prerequisites for a nerve-racking, action-packed criminal case are therefore in place - but then nothing happens: Nothing. Nothing at all. "KBV - Keine besonderen Vorkommnisse" (No Activity).
Night after night, the two commissioners sit in their civilian vehicle, observe and wait. And wait. Waiting for something to happen. And because nothing does, they pass the time with rather irritating anecdotes from their private lives. In the control centre of the police station, their colleagues do the same. And even in the warehouse under surveillance, the two criminals alienate with bizarre conversations and stories from their past. Well-tended boredom can be very entertaining.
In addition to Jürgen Vogel and Serkan Kaya, the rest of the series ensemble includes Annette Frier, Maike Jüttendonk, Denis Moschitto and musician and entertainer Rocko Schamoni. Other supporting roles are played by Kida Khodr Ramadan, Rauand Taleb, Daniel Zillmann, Andrea Sawatzki and Carl Josef Statnik.
